Attendance Corrections

Corrections provide a controlled way to fix attendance or break times without silently editing history. A correction stores the original values, requested values, reason, evidence, comments, and review status.

Type Use it for
Check In Correcting the clock-in time.
Check Out Correcting the clock-out time.
Break In Correcting when a break started.
Break Out Correcting when a break ended.
Composite Correcting more than one clock or break value in one request.
  1. Open Attendance Records.
  2. Select Make Correction Request on your own record.
  3. Choose the correction type.
  4. Enter the requested time fields shown for that type.
  5. Use Select Break Record when the record has more than one break and a specific break must be corrected.
  6. Enter Reason for Correction.
  7. Add supporting evidence when useful.
  8. Submit the request.

After submission, the request appears in My Correction Requests.

Reviewers with permission can open a correction and select:

  • Approve
  • Reject
  • Request Info

Approval applies the requested change to the attendance record or break record. Rejection leaves the attendance record unchanged. Request Info moves the request to Needs Info.

Corrections support comment threads. Comment attachments and correction evidence allow PDF, Office documents, and image files, with a 10 MB limit in the backend validators.

  • Requested times cannot be in the future.
  • A correction cannot target a future attendance record.
  • A break correction must target a break that belongs to the selected attendance record.
  • If multiple breaks exist, the request must identify the break where required.
  • Pending or needs-info corrections can block manual record edits or deletion.
  • Approved and rejected corrections cannot have substantive fields changed later.

Correction pages support status, correction type, employee, and date range filters where available. Users with all-correction access can review broader correction lists; otherwise users see their own requests.
