Attendance Key Features

The Attendance module combines employee self-service, manager visibility, HR review workflows, and configuration-driven calculations.

Feature Verified behavior
Clock In and Clock Out Records work sessions and prevents duplicate open check-ins.
Live status Shows whether the current user is Working, On Break, or Checked Out.
Manual breaks Break In creates a casual break. Break Out closes the active break.
Scheduled breaks Shift break times can automatically create regular break records.
Attendance dashboard Shows Work Days, Working Hours, Overtime, Under Hours, Working Hours Paid Leave Days, and Unpaid Leave Hours.
Attendance records Lists times, hours, day type, flags, overtime details, break tooltips, and row actions.
Team overview Shows team-level counts and member status cards.
Corrections Supports check-in, check-out, break-in, break-out, and composite correction requests.
Leave management Supports policy-based leave requests, balances, records, approvals, and leave calendars.
Automatic checkout Can close open sessions from scheduled background tasks and mark the record Auto Checkout.
Leave automation Can process accrual, carry-forward, and workday absences according to policy.
Exports Available from Attendance Records and other list pages where implemented.

Attendance calculations use recorded times, break duration, applicable shift, work calendar day type, buffer rules, and overtime rules.

Calculated values include:

  • working hours
  • break duration
  • late check-in
  • early checkout
  • buffer hours
  • overtime hours and overtime multipliers
  • under hours
  • expected working hours
  • paid leave working hours
  • unpaid leave under hours
