Salary Profiles

Salary Profiles define how an employee is paid. A profile stores base salary, effective dates, active status, bank/account details, allowances, benefit deductions, tax counters, and salary increments.

Column Meaning
Employee Employee name and username.
Department Employee department from the employee profile.
Position Employee position.
Employment Type Employee employment type.
Base Salary Monthly base salary. This value can be protected by Payroll step-up.
Last Updated Last profile update date.
Effective From Date the profile starts applying.
Status Active or Inactive.
Actions Profile actions available to the current user.
Field Use
Monthly Base Salary Employee’s monthly base salary.
Effective From First date the salary profile is valid.
Effective To Optional end date for the profile.
Currency Organization default payroll currency.
Tax Deducted Running tax deducted counter.
Accumulated Taxable Salary Running taxable salary counter for the active tax year.
Active Controls whether the profile can be used for payroll.

Salary profiles require account details before payroll can be calculated successfully.

Field Use
Detail Type Percentage, Fixed Amount, or Remaining (auto).
Account Type Own or relative account, depending on configured choices.
Bank Bank used for this salary allocation.
Percentage (%) Percentage allocation when detail type is Percentage.
Fixed Amount Fixed allocation when detail type is Fixed Amount.
Account Holder Name Account holder name. Letters only in the UI.
Account Number Bank account number.
CNIC Optional 13-digit CNIC.
Relationship Type Required for relative accounts.
Is Tax Exempt Marks the detail as exempt from income tax when permission allows.

The Allocation Preview shows how the current detail affects salary distribution.

  • At least one active bank detail is required.
  • Percentage-only details must total exactly 100%.
  • Fixed-only details cannot exceed the base salary.
  • Mixed fixed and percentage details must leave a payable remainder.
  • Only one Remaining (auto) detail is allowed.
  • Percentage (%) must be between 0.01 and 100.
  • Fixed Amount must be greater than 0.
  • Relationship Type is required for relative accounts.
  • CNIC must contain 13 digits when provided.
