Attendance User Guide
This guide brings the daily Attendance workflows together.
Employee daily workflow
Section titled “Employee daily workflow”- Open Attendance before work starts.
- Select Clock In.
- Select Break In when taking a manual break.
- Select Break Out when returning.
- Select Clock Out at the end of the session.
- Review Attendance Records.
- Select Make Correction Request if a clock or break value is incorrect.
Employee leave workflow
Section titled “Employee leave workflow”- Open My Leave Requests.
- Select Apply for Leave.
- Choose the leave policy and dates.
- Enter the reason and attach documents if required.
- Submit the request.
- Track the status until it becomes Approved, Rejected, or Cancelled.
Manager or team lead workflow
Section titled “Manager or team lead workflow”- Open Team Overview to review today’s team status.
- Use Attendance filters to inspect a date range or specific team member.
- Review subordinate leave requests if your permissions allow it.
- Act on leave approval steps only when the request is at your current step.
HR or administrator workflow
Section titled “HR or administrator workflow”- Use Attendance Records to review all or scoped records.
- Use Add Attendance Record, Quick Edit, or Delete Record where direct record maintenance is appropriate.
- Use correction review actions for employee-submitted changes.
- Configure shifts, break times, work calendar dates, leave policies, overtime policies, and buffer policies.
- Use exports for offline review when needed.
When something looks wrong
Section titled “When something looks wrong”| Problem | Recommended action |
|---|---|
| Wrong clock-in or clock-out | Use Make Correction Request. |
| Wrong break time | Use Make Correction Request and select the break record when required. |
| Cannot check in | Ask an administrator to verify Employee profile, shift assignment, and permission. |
| Cannot see team data | Ask an administrator to verify team/all attendance permission and reporting hierarchy. |
| Leave request is blocked | Review balance, policy, overlap, documentation, and backdated leave rules. |
