Interviews and Slots

Interview slots define when candidates can be interviewed. HR users create and manage slots, while candidates can book available slots when they are eligible.

  • HR users and recruiters create and manage slots.
  • Interviewers review scheduled candidates.
  • Candidates book available slots and request rescheduling.

Open Careers > Job Applications > Interviews.

Permissions found:

Permission Allows
jobPortal.view_availableslot View interview slots and slot details.
jobPortal.add_availableslot Create interview slots.
jobPortal.change_availableslot Edit interview slots.
jobPortal.add_slotbooking Schedule or book interview slots.

Interview slots can include:

  • Job.
  • Slot type.
  • Date.
  • Start time.
  • End time.
  • Capacity.
  • Interview location.
  • Interview instructions.

The backend also supports bulk slot creation and available-slot statistics.

The booked-candidates view shows candidates booked into a slot. Candidate booking details can include:

Field Meaning
Candidate Name Candidate booked for the slot.
Email Candidate email.
Booking Date Interview date.
Booking Start Time Start time.
Booking End Time End time.
Reschedule Status Current reschedule request state, if any.
Actions View or act on a request where available.

Candidates can request to reschedule an interview with a reason.

Reschedule request statuses:

Status Meaning
Pending Candidate requested a change and HR has not decided yet.
Approved HR approved the reschedule request.
Rejected HR rejected the request.

HR can approve or reject reschedule requests. A rejection requires a reason.

Status Meaning
Scheduled Interview is planned.
Completed Interview is complete.
Cancelled Interview was cancelled.
Rescheduled Interview was moved.
No Show Candidate did not attend.
  1. Open Interviews.
  2. Create an interview slot for the job.
  3. Add date, time, capacity, location, and instructions.
  4. Save the slot.
  5. Candidate books an available slot, or HR schedules the candidate.
  6. Open the slot detail to review booked candidates.
  7. Approve or reject any reschedule requests.
  8. Continue the application into screening, final selection, or offer.
