Attendance Settings
Attendance settings control how sessions, breaks, overtime, calendars, leave, and buffers behave. These pages are for authorized HR/admin users.
Shifts
Section titled “Shifts”Shifts define:
- shift name
- shift type: workday, weekend, or holiday
- priority level
- day-specific assignment
- optional start and end dates
- shift start and end time
- check-in time limit
- checkout time limit
- expected working hours
- buffer hours
- minimum working hours
- standard break duration
- auto-checkout policy
- active state
- assigned employees
Shift list supports filtering by shift type, priority level, day-specific value, and active state. It supports searching by shift name.
Break times
Section titled “Break times”Break times belong to shifts and include:
- shift
- name
- break in
- break out
- duration
Creating or updating a break time creates or updates a scheduled break task.
Work calendar
Section titled “Work calendar”The work calendar stores dates and day types. It affects shift matching, expected hours, weekend/holiday handling, scheduled breaks, and absence processing.
Overtime rules
Section titled “Overtime rules”Shift overtime rules define overtime ranges and multipliers. Rules include:
- rule name
- range start
- range end
- multiplier
Leave policies
Section titled “Leave policies”Leave policies control leave type, scope, allocation, accrual, proration, monthly caps, carry forward, cashability, documentation, backdated leave, and approvals.
Overtime and buffer policies
Section titled “Overtime and buffer policies”The backend includes flattened policy endpoints for overtime compensation policies and buffer hours policies. These are configuration areas for authorized users and should be maintained according to company rules.
Configuration changes can affect calculations for many employees. Review the policy impact before changing shifts, work calendar dates, overtime rules, or leave policies.
